On the 17th of March 2023, the Minister of Labour and Home Affairs caused to be published in the Botswana Government Gazette the Societies (Extension of Registration Period for Societies) Order. This Order extends the re-registration period of societies for a period of 12 months, commencing from 25 February 2023 to 24 February 2024.
In the spirit of being collaborative, M&K Botswana is pleased to have hosted attorneys from Manokore Attorneys, a member DLA Piper Africa from Harare, Zimbabwe. Steve and Hilary were on a benchmarking mission and spent 2 days with our Financial Recoveries Department.

We are proud to announce that Lesego Babitseng, a senior associate in our Civil & Corporate Litigation department, has been appointed as the new head of our Employment department.
Lesego has experience in various areas of the law such as employment, financial recoveries, insurance, medical malpractice, contract, procurement and insolvency.
He is excited to take on this new role and we wish him the very best in his new position.
